How do I find the computer name (hostname)?

Using computer names makes it possible to distinguish between different computers. With some ISPs, the hostname is used to give a computer access to the Internet. 

Windows 
You can find the Hostname by holding down the Windows key on your keyboard and pressing the Pause/Break key.

The hostname is the Computer name and not the Full computer name.
